GIOF 2020 ANNOUNCES THE WINNERS OF THE STARTUP PITCH CONTEST

September 4, 2020

Kyiv, Ukraine, 18:00 CET. The Global Inclusion Online Forum 2020 has announced the winner of its Startup Pitch Contest among the TOP 10 finalists.

The Global Inclusion Online Forum Startup Pitch Contest was one of the first pitches that offered a platform to early stage startups dealing with diversity & inclusion issues. The participants of the Startup Program became part of the Online Startup Expo where they presented their product to a global audience of HR, diversity and inclusion professionals and pitched their ideas to the representatives of top organizations focused on diversity and inclusion investments.

interviewIA, the winner of the GIOF Startup Pitch Contest, is a stratup focused on changing the entire process of how talent is evaluated. It advocates the phased approach to revolutionizing talent evaluation at scale in order to build stronger companies, employ more people of all backgrounds whose abilities will bring to life more products, create less attrition and more sustainable employment growth globally, better communities, and more opportunity for the world. The runner-up of the Pitch Contest was Mujeres WOW, an alternative credit scoring platform targeting female entrepreneurs. The winners were chosen by the professional jury members: Nathalie Crosbie, Flavia Richardson, and Pete Horsley.

The Startup Pitch Contest agenda was separated into three cohorts: Inclusion Solutions, Financial Services, and HR Solutions. The first cohort was dedicated to startups that have developed unique products and services that consider the full range of human diversity — ability, language, culture, gender, age, and other forms of human difference. The second — to startups that offer financial services or investment to entrepreneurs from underrepresented groups or minorities. The third — to startups that offer products, services or tools that have a positive impact on inclusive hiring, staffing, talent acquisition, applying for vacancies or ensuring an unbiased workplace experience.

The Global Inclusion Online Forum is the first online event of such a type and scale designed to bring together world’s leading diversity and inclusion executives, HR consultants, and D&I activists together with business owners and managers who are looking for ways to make their businesses more inclusive. In 2020, the GIOF has gathered 2000+ attendees and 70+ speakers from leading companies all over the world.
