A Beginner’s Guide: Intersectionality to Fight Injustice at the Workplace
Have you heard of intersectionality and the helpful framework it provides for all DEI practitioners? But you’re not exactly sure about it in-depth? Let’s take a deep dive in this highly informative workshop! Intersectionality is a term coined in the US, by leading critical race theory scholar Kimberlé Crenshaw. It describes the study of overlapping identities and the interaction of different power structures, such as race, class and gender. Intersectionality helps us to analyze how systemic, institutional and historical oppression affects groups differently and enriches the understanding of how norms are constructed.
