Partner at Axiom Consulting Partners

Dr. Aaron Sorensen is a Partner at Axiom Consulting Partners, where he leads the firm’s Business Transformation and Behavioral Science Teams.

He has more than two decades of experience helping organizations change their performance trajectory through solutions that blend behavioral science, analytics and strategy. Over the course of his career, he has frequently led consulting engagements—across hundreds of projects—focused on enabling leading organizations to overhaul and improve their approach to talent strategy, analytics, organization design and team effectiveness. As a psychologist, Dr. Sorensen collaborates in academic research in addition to consulting clients, exploring the intersection of behavioral science, organizational dynamics and inclusiveness to help others understand their interplay across individuals, teams and organizations.

Dr. Sorensen is the catalyst behind Axiom’s Diversity Equity & Inclusion Analytics Platform, which provides organizational leaders with the actionable insights and—quicker, deeper, less biased—data they need to assess and improve the impact of DEI. First inspired by challenges his clients faced as they struggled to define, measure and create real-time, lasting DEI improvements, Dr. Sorensen led a team of psychologists, data scientists and data engineers to design a better way. He and his team continue to expand and advance the platform’s utility to client organizations.

Dr. Sorensen has a PhD Doctorate and M.A. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from DePaul University, and graduated with honors with a B.S. in Psychology from University of Iowa. He member of the Society of Industrial Organizational Psychologists (SIOP) and the American Psychological Association (APA) and frequently speaks and writes on topics related to organization, talent and behavioral science.
