Lakshmi Natarajan
Founder of Travel Plus Them
For over 20 years, she established her professional career across marketing, sales, strategy, operations, and consulting for companies such as Accenture, American Express, GlaxoSmithKline, Compass, and numerous clients across various industries. Within these experiences, Lakshmi held various global senior leadership positions across continents, which allowed her to travel and collaborate with diverse teams. She has traveled to over 60 countries across 6 continents, over 30 countries with her husband and two daughters with the goal of raising them with a global mindset.
After two decades of her corporate career, Lakshmi reached a point where she was unable to give 100% to any aspect of her life—career, family, or herself. Her motivation to build her businesses was born from her strengths, experiences, and mission to "be the change she wished to see in the world" (quote from Mahatma Gandhi). Thus, Lakshmi founded two businesses, Excelador a business consulting and advisory firm and Travel Plus Them a travel insights and education company that inspires action and helps families raise their children to be “inclusive global citizens”. Lakshmi believes in children experiencing the world’s diversity and hopes to inspire other parents on their global learning journey. Her insights on entrepreneurship, family travel, and raising global citizens have been featured in various publications such as New York Weekly, Miami Wire, Boston Herald, and US Reporter.
