Unpacking Bias: Fostering Awareness and Growth to Diminish Discrimination in the Workplace.

This workshop will include:

• An exploration of the different domains of life where people tend to experience strong biases, both positive and negative, and how these biases influence behavior.

• An introduction to common cognitive biases, and how these may interact with racial, gender, and other anti-group biases.

• A listening and perception exercise, followed by a small-group debrief.

• A guided reflection/brainstorm, followed by a full-group discussion.

By exploring bias through a multi-faceted lens, this workshop aims to foster understanding, increased self-awareness, and creative thinking in participants, and to inspire new approaches to creating positive transformation in the workplace and in life.

This workshop is open to anyone with a genuine interest in the aims described above. This workshop will be interactive; participants will be strongly encouraged to engage with themselves and each other.
